with Trevor Lawrence
Trevor's storytelling events are for all circumstances and ages. There will always be an element of participation, either with repeated words or rhymes or music and percussion or acting out parts by volunteers. Trevor will bring percussion instruments and props as appropriate and his own instruments; usually recorders and mandolin. Workshops in storytelling can be arranged based around an existing story or creating a new one from the experiences and imagination of the participants. Workshops can also be part of other projects if required.
Many areas within Cornwall have stories with a local origin and these can be utilised to celebrate local distinctiveness and a sense of place. If there is a music group already formed simple Cornish tunes can be provided beforehand and used to enhance the shared experience. In a school situation this can fulfil many aspects of the national curriculum including language and communication skills.
Parties, Festivals and Events, Banquets and Feasts, Schools and Special Needs groups, Children aged two to ninety two, Business development. Trevor is a member of the Society for Storytelling and has a current CRB Certificate.
If we are all happy and creatively fulfilled we will work, learn and interact socially much more effectively. Storytelling experiences can create this for everyone regardless of age and experience.
